TESTIMONIALS

"Taylor is a strong leader who takes initiative. I have come to admire her ability to lead a team. One of Taylor’s largest projects is working as the director for the Pearce Center annual report team. She manages a group of students to set the direction for the report. In addition to leading the annual report team, Taylor was also a lead for the social media First Baptist Church communications project. We rely on her abilities to review and create marketing material, write articles, and create social media content. Taylor is also an extremely strong writer and editor. She is able to adapt her writing styles to all mediums, whether it is social media, online publishing, or writing for websites.

Taylor has a true talent for leading a team and project management. For many students, it is difficult to lead their peers, but Taylor is able to do that very effectively. She does that by communicating clearly, setting reasonable goals, and knowing when to step in and offer assistance. Anytime she is assigned a task, it will not only be completed by the due date but done exceptionally well."

"In the two years that I have known Taylor, I have had the pleasure of working with her in different capacities - as a student and an intern. In both capacities, Taylor has excelled - meeting deadlines, researching thoroughly, and seeking ways to improve. She has a natural eye for design, met with a passion for analytics and research. She strives to create compelling and effective products through written and visual storytelling. In my experience, Taylor is ahead of the game - she's a self-learner, pays attention to industry thought-leaders, and seeks professional development experiences, such as industry certifications. In addition to her creative talents, Taylor possesses a kind demeanor with a team-player attitude. She's a delight to work with, and I hope to have the opportunity to work with her again."

"Ms. Taylor Summey completed her internship with the Social Media Listening Center. In this position, the students are responsible for weekly analysis of social media conversations ranging in topics. Students gain experience with monitoring sentiment, volume, and determining themes within the discussion through the process. Ms. Summey is a gifted student who quickly learned social media analytics and utilized the tools in a research role.

Ms. Summey continually pursued academic success and went far beyond the internship requirements to ensure that she fully understood the application of the concepts we studied. During gathering data and analyzing, I was constantly impressed with her leadership and research ability. Through her work, she has displayed intentionality and self-leadership to learn more about using social media as a research tool. As a person, Ms. Summey is an honest individual who showcases her integrity through her work. Her time under my leadership proved that she is a very detailed and determined student."
